Welcome to the Southern Connecticut Diamond Club, Inc.
The Southern Connecticut Regional Diamond Club was originally formed with one goal in mind - to promote the great game of baseball in the region! That simple mission continues in the dedication and volunteer work of its members. The club spreads the goodwill of baseball through awards, recognition of those who have given back to the game, free skills clinics, donations to local organizations, and more. It is a full-fledged network of baseball people working to help others enjoy the game. Check out the pages on our site to see our involvement in the local baseball community.
The group got its inspiration from a prior organization (The Greater New Haven Diamond Club). This former club was founded in 1980, but went into a batting slump after 1992. Thankfully, several former members, along with a new group of dedicated individuals who believed in the mission, started the Southern Connecticut Diamond Club in 2005. In 2011, the organization went from a informal structure, to a full-fledged corporation. In 2013, the organization obtained its non-profit status.
All of our members continue to be volunteers, with proceeds donated back to the community. See the "In The Community" section under this page for more info on our donations.
The Southern Connecticut Diamond Club, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) organization.
